Bead Row
A horizontal track of micro-beads sewn or clamped to a thin row of the client's natural hair. Weft extensions are then sewn onto the bead row. The dominant installation method for flat weft extensions.

Beaded Topper Method
An installation technique in which a hair topper is secured using a bead row rather than pressure clips. Preferred for clients with fine or fragile hair.

Blend
The seamless visual integration of extension hair with the client's natural hair. Requires accurate color matching, correct length selection, and precise cutting after installation.

Density
The amount of hair per weft, measured in grams per bundle or per row. Selecting the correct density is a critical installation decision for natural results.

Extension Weft
A strip of hair sewn or bonded at the top, designed to be attached to the client's natural hair. Categorized by construction: machine weft, hand-tied weft, flat weft, and genius weft.

Flat Weft
A weft construction in which hair is sewn flat at the top, creating a thin, flexible track that lies closer to the scalp. Can be cut without shedding. Also called a genius weft.

Genius Weft
A proprietary weft construction category with an ultra-thin, flat sewn top that can be cut to any width without shedding. The Zora Wisp Weft is a genius weft.

Hair Loss Integration
A professional service category in which extension or enhancement systems are applied to clients experiencing hair loss, thinning, or alopecia. Requires specialized consultation and product selection.

Hair Topper
A hairpiece designed to cover the crown or top of the head, used for clients with thinning hair or alopecia. Attached using clips, tape, or the beaded topper method.

Hand-Tied Weft
A weft construction in which individual strands are hand-knotted onto a thin thread. Very flexible and lightweight but cannot be cut without unraveling.

I-Tip Extensions
Individual strand extensions with a pre-bonded keratin tip shaped like the letter I. Applied using a micro-bead or heat tool. Also called stick-tip or micro-link extensions.

Integration Mesh
A mesh base system used in hair loss integration. The client's natural hair is pulled through the mesh, which is secured to the scalp. Extension hair is attached to the mesh.

Keratin Bond
A pre-bonded extension strand in which a keratin polymer tip is fused to natural hair using a heat tool. The Zora Reserve Keratin Bond Extensions use hot fusion and are available in 25 shades.

Licensed Cosmetologist
A state-licensed beauty professional who has completed required cosmetology education and passed state board examinations. Zora Hair products are sold exclusively to licensed cosmetologists and salon owners.

Machine Weft
A weft construction in which hair is sewn onto a thick thread using an industrial sewing machine. The most common weft type but thicker and less flexible than hand-tied or flat wefts.

Meshless Integration
A hair loss integration method that does not use a mesh base. Extension hair is attached directly to the client's existing hair using beads, bonds, or tape.

Micro-Bead
A small cylindrical metal or silicone bead used to attach extension strands or weft rows to natural hair without heat or adhesive. Also called a micro-link or nano-bead.

Remy Human Hair
Human hair in which all strands are aligned cuticle-to-cuticle to prevent tangling. The professional standard for extension quality. All Zora Hair products use 100% Remy human hair.

Root Shadow
A color technique in which a slightly darker shade is applied at the root of the extension to mimic natural hair growth and improve blend. Reduces the visible line of demarcation.

Tape-In Extensions
Extension wefts with a pre-applied adhesive strip that bonds to a thin section of the client's natural hair. Applied in sandwiched pairs and removed using a bond remover solution.

Track
The horizontal row created in the client's hair to which a weft is attached. Track placement determines the fall, volume, and natural movement of the finished result.
